For over four decades, Dr. William P. Mulhausen has been helping Northeast Ohio residents find the pathway to a better life through hypnosis and related consulting services. Utilizing a breadth and depth of both knowledge and experience seldom found in one individual, Dr. Mulhausen has experienced phenomenal success in areas ranging from smoking cessation to weight loss, stress reduction, grief and anger management, and overcoming various addictions. He's enabled his patients to improve their relationships, build their self-confidence, increase their memory and concentration skills, discover new-found motivation, overcome procrastination, enhance study skills, and heighten their sports performance. Dr. Mulhausen's fifteen years of college have earned him a Doctorate in School Psychology (Ph.D.) from Kent State University, with a specialization in counseling consultation, marriage and family therapy, and clinical psychology, in addition to Post-Master's Certification in School Psychology from John Carroll University, and a Master's Degree in Education, a Master's Degree in Sociology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Case Western Reserve University. He is a Registered Addiction Specialist (R.A.S.). He formerly worked as school phychologist in public schools and in private practice, and is currently a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (N.C.S.P.) and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (P.C.). As an Approved and Certified Consultant of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Dr. Mulhausen holds the distinction of being one of approximately 15 practitioners in the State of Ohio with this prestigious certification. He sees clients from across the country as well as all around Ohio.
Dr. Mulhausen is a past President of the Cleveland Society of Clinical Hypnosis and has served as President (1994-97 and 2010-13) and Vice President (2009-11) of this professional organization, a component section of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Although he already holds an impressive list of degrees, he remains constantly involved in continuing education, attending training sessions, seminars, and workshops in clinical hypnosis held by The Cleveland Clinic, The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, Cleveland Society of Clinical Hypnosis, Associate Trainers in Clinical Hypnosis, Ohio Institute of Medical hypnosis, Inc., Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, The Cincinnati Society of Clinical Hypnosis, The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, etc.
